I had a chance to dine with Stalin to get a little inside story on him and his decisions during his part in World War II. I got to know his point of view on Hitler, communism, and more. Keep in mind, Joseph Stalin was general secretary of the Communist Party of the USSR from 1922 to 1953. Before we asked him about his decisions and such, I wanted to know how he felt about Adolf Hitler. While Hitler was succeeding negatively, Stalin sat back and watched. He told me that I had to understand they were both in the non-aggression pact, where eight days later Germany attacked Poland. Hitler and Stalin were partners for two years until Germany invaded the Soviet Union. In small talk, he said, he admired and shook his head positively at Adolf Hitler. After a while, they were rivals. The Rise of Fascism was founded by Benito Mussolini of Italy. It was where a government under a dictator, controlled the country with nationalism and strict social and economic measures. Stalin told me he was a firm believer of fascism, and was a fascist himself. On the other hand communism is where there is democracy or a dictatorship. I got to listen to Stalin as he told me descriptively that is sure affected World War II. The communist party in the Soviet Union was one of the largest communist organizations in the world. It was started by Vladimir Lenin. The army stopped countries trying to gain independence such as Hungary and Poland.
